2012 ARC Conference Sign & Return: Informing Collection Documentation

A reminder that the early bird registration for the 2012 ARC conference closes on Friday 2 December, so be in quick to secure a place at the discounted rate. Conference registrations can be made using the attached form, and can be emailed to arcconference at registrars.org.au<mailto:arcconference at registrars.org.au>.

The conference will be preceded by a workshop on Due Diligence for Registrars by London based consultant, collection manager and author, Freda Matassa. The workshop will be held on 7 Feb 2012, and repeated again on 8 Feb 2012. Registration for the workshop can be made on the same form as the conference registration.  Please find attached further information about the workshop.

The full program will be available at www.registrars.org.au<http://www.registrars.org.au/> from the week of 5 December. A strong line up of industry professionals will present and discuss a diverse range of documentation topics including exhibitions; the impact of disasters; provenance; and collection stocktaking.  Confirmed speakers include Freda Matassa (UK), Shane Simpson (AU), Norman Palmer (UK) & Rebecca Buck (US).

The conference dinner will be held at the new Vue De Monde private dining space on the 55th floor of Melbourne's iconic Rialto tower - places are limited to this special event so register early to avoid disappointment.

For those travelling to Melbourne to attend the conference, you will have the option of booking accommodation at the Novotel on Collins, our recommended hotel that will offer a special rate for delegates.
