Millar has been an archival, editorial, and educational consultant for over 25
years. She received her Master of Archival Studies degree from the <st1:PlaceType

Columbia</st1:PlaceName>, <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on">Canada</st1:country-region></st1:place>,
in 1984 and her PhD in archival studies from the University of London, England,
in 1996. She is the author of nearly four dozen professional publications on a
range of topics, including records and archives management; information
systems; and editing, publishing, and writing. She has delivered dozens of
workshops, seminars, and presentations on archives and records management
around the world, from <st1:City w:st="on">Inuvik</st1:City>, <st1:State w:st="on">Northwest
Territories</st1:State> and <st1:City w:st="on">St. John’s</st1:City>, <st1:State
w:st="on">Newfoundland</st1:State> to <st1:City w:st="on">Lusaka</st1:City>, <st1:country-region
w:st="on">Zambia</st1:country-region> and <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Wellington</st1:City>,
<st1:country-region w:st="on">New Zealand</st1:country-region></st1:place>. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p><font size=2 color=black face=Arial><span style='font-size:10.0pt;
font-family:Arial'>Laura has worked with international agencies such as the
International Records Management Trust, the United Nations, and the World Bank,
and with governments around the world, including <st1:City w:st="on">Bermuda</st1:City>,
<st1:country-region w:st="on">Trinidad and Tobago</st1:country-region>, <st1:country-region
w:st="on">Sri Lanka</st1:country-region>, and <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:country-region

the Archives Association of Ontario, and the Salvation Army. She has taught
